PRIVATE EQUITY FUNDS OF THE AVIDA GROUP

The High Tech Pool and the Iris Capital Fund II are original fund products of AVIDA Group that have been initiated, structured and sponsored on the the Group’s fund development platform. The management responsibility for both funds has been assigned to specialised management companies in which AVIDA Group has a stake holding.

In the framework of secondary transactions, the fund management of IMH funds and Techinvest funds has been assigned to AVIDA Group. Both fund groups have not been set up and invested by AVIDA Group, but by third party fund managers in the past. Furthermore end of 2006 / beginning of 2007 the mid cap portfolio of Afinum Group as well as the Berlin Capital Fund have been acquired.

The total capital commitments for both, AVIDA Group’s original fund products as well as its secondary fund management activities, amount to more than half a billion Euro. These commitments primarily come from approximately 40 institutional investors.

The investment focus of the funds stretches from later stage venture capital investments in sectors like T.I.M.E.S., Life Sciences, physical sciences / applied technologies to mid-cap buy-outs of established companies in all sectors. In addition, AVIDA Group is an active secondary market player and acquires selected assets and LP stakes of venture capital and private equity portfolios. The geographical focus is generally on Western Europe.
